Tails and Scales – 25th July

Tails and Scales will be bringing some of their furry and scaly animal friends with them to meet the residents and staff. They will be bringing their collection of small animals to Hilton House care home in Stoke on Trent so that everyone can hold them and see them up close on Wednesday 25th July at 2.30pm.

Animal Visits are Beneficial to Residents at Our Care Homes in Stoke on Trent

There are many benefits to residents of these types of visits. This includes something to look forward to and is a great topic of conversation before, during and afterwards. For those with dementia or other age related conditions, stroking and holding the animals can help to relax and lower blood pressure, stimulate memories of pets or other encounters with animals in the past. This is just one of many events planned throughout the year to make life at our care homes in Stoke on Trent as enjoyable as possible for residents and staff.
