We Are Safely Welcoming New Residents!

In such uncertain times, making care arrangements for yourself or a loved one can feel overwhelming. At Lovett Care, we’re here to help and our caring, professional team is on hand to provide expert support and guidance at every step.

We are pleased to share that Twyford House is still open to new residents at the current time. We are also delighted to inform you that all eligible staff and residents have now been offered the COVID-19 vaccine, making us a very safe choice for residential and respite care.

Safe Admissions For New Residents

Our first priority is always our residents. For that reason, we have implemented a safe admissions process. This process aims to protect our current residents while still upholding the same high standards of care we take great pride in.

Prior to moving in with us, new residents will first take a coronavirus test. We can arrange for this to be carried out in the home, a local community setting or in the hospital, as appropriate.

Following a negative result, individuals will be able to move into their new bedroom and will receive in-room care for 10 days. Each of our beautiful en-suite bedrooms is equipped with all the necessary facilities and comforts to help them settle in, and care will be provided by our experienced team who are all routinely tested. During this period of time, our focus is on helping new residents feel comfortable and welcome. Meals are delivered directly to bedrooms and we are on hand at the touch of a button for anything, whether it’s a cup of tea or a natter!

Should the initial test result return positive, we ask prospective residents to remain where they are for 14 days prior to admission. After this, they are welcome to join us and receive in-room care for 10 days before joining the wider community at Twyford House.

Visits From Family & Friends

We understand just how important it is to remain connected through such turbulent times. To help with this, we are doing everything we can to accommodate safe indoor visits and virtual visits. To find out more about this, please contact us. We would be more than happy to arrange the most appropriate, and safest, form of visit for the current situation.

Infection Control

Robust infection control and management have always been at the top of our agenda. Throughout the pandemic, we have done everything we can to step up infection control measures in light of new information and minimise the risk of the virus entering our care home.

Each and every member of our care team has completed infection control training as part of their induction. Furthermore, everyone in the building is required to wear a protective face mask at all times and our housekeeping teams continue to carry out enhanced cleaning at regular intervals throughout each day.

We are incredibly proud of every single member of the Twyford House family. Everyone is working tirelessly to ensure that every step is taken to protect our residents as they go about enjoying happy, fulfilled lives.
