Twyford House Welcomes First Resident!
Following our grand opening at the end of August, we rolled out the red carpet for our first ever resident at the beginning of Septemer. And we couldn’t be happier to have her! Edith Mills, who celebrated her 92nd birthday shortly after settling in at the brand new 70 bedroom care home, became the first resident to move into Twyford House at the beginning of September.
Twyford House, the third of our care homes, joined the Lovett Care family at the end of August. This gorgeous luxury care home in Alsager, Cheshire, features its own bistro, terrace bar, beauty clinic, private dining area, cinema and library. Residents and visitors to the care centre can enjoy high quality residential care, specialist dementia care, day care and respite care at Twyford House and it’s sister home, Hilton House.
Welcoming Edith to Twyford House!
The whole team was so delighted to welcome Edith to Twyford House. Registered Manager at Twyford House, Sally Latham, commented: “We are so pleased to have Edith, and we’re looking forward to opening our doors to even more residents in the very near future. The response to Twyford House has been fantastic and we are receiving enquiries from interested members of the community every day.
Shortly after Edith’s arrival at Twyford House, we had the pleasure of celebrating her 92nd birthday with her! On the day, Edith enjoyed opening her presents in the company of our fantastic team before enjoying a socially distanced party in the Terrace Bar. Our fabulous catering team created a delicious chocolate cake, which we presented to Edith with only three candles – at her request!
Looking To The Future
As we welcome more and more residents to Twyford House, we really are looking forward to building on our vibrant and inclusive community. Twyford House is very much shaped by the residents who live and stay there. Whatever sparks joy within them, we aim to accommodate that as far as possible. Whether that be taking part in gentle exercise in one of our activity rooms to enjoying a private dining experience with friends and family on special occasions.
