Summer at Hilton House Care Home
Our care home in Stoke on Trent has a packed agenda of events this Summer for all the residents to enjoy. Having something to look forward to and bring everyone together helps create a community at Hilton House in Penkhull. Setting weekly dates with a schedule of fun is a way of proactively fulfilling our commitment to good care. Putting a smile on residents’ faces is part of ensuring that everyone lives a fulfilling life during their stay with Lovett Care.
Summer Entertainment at Our Care Home
Summer is a happy time of year and this year has seen plenty of sunny weather to lift everyone’s spirits. To make the most of the season we have invited Tails and Scales to bring some of their furry and scaly friends with them to meet the residents and staff. They will be bringing their mobile menagerie of small animals to our care home in Stoke on Trent so that everyone can hold them and see them up close on Wednesday 25th July at 2.30 pm.
We are all very excited about the Summer Fair on Friday 27th July between 2.30-4.30pm. All are welcome to the fun afternoon with entertainment including a singer, cake stall, ice-cream van on site, raffle & much more.
The fun continues into August with a Summer Picnic Evening for the residents on the 6th and Glyn Jones will be performing classic popular songs from the 1950s, 1960’s and 1970’s on 9th August. The musical theme continues with swing singer Luke entertaining us on 23rd August.
The Importance of Entertainment at Hilton House
Interjecting some variety and entertainment into the daily and weekly routine is uplifting and encourages interaction. This type of sociable experience fosters a sense of belonging through the collective experience and helps to stop people feeling isolated and lonely. Having fun is important to everyone’s health and well being and life at our care homes.
