After 5 years of working as a carer at Formby Manor, Hannah knew the role inside out and back to front, and she knew at this point she was ready to move onto the next challenge.
Confidence doesn’t come easily for Hanah though, and she says she sometimes struggles to believe in herself. She has done such an amazing job to overcome these beliefs though, and it’s clear to anyone who meets Hannah how incredible she is at her job and what a brilliant person she is.
I think my favourite part of my job is the residents. I enjoy chatting to them and just spending time with them.
Hannah worked extremely hard and was promoted from a Carer role to Team Leader, showing that her diligence in her work absolutely paid off! Hannah said she was driven by a want to expand her skills, as she had such a close relationship with the residents and their families, and she wanted to be the very best she could be.
Hannah then went above and beyond, and in recognition, she was promoted from Team Leader, to Head Of Care! This role means that she is now responsible for the overall management of the Community, and she has really risen to the task.
When I was promoted I couldn’t believe it. I felt very proud
Hannah has set a shining example for anyone looking to pursue a career in care but who may have concerns or worries about their performance. If this sounds like you, she has a few words of wisdom to pass on:
“Believe in yourself, work hard, and don’t forget to always ask for support when you need it.”
