Hannah
I started at Formby Manor as a Care Assistant in 2021, and I absolutely loved both the role and working at the home. I spent 12 months as a Care Assistant before a Team Leader position became available. I decided to go for it as I felt ready for the next step, and I was delighted to get the job.
I am so proud and happy to work at Formby Manor, and I felt incredibly proud to progress into this role. As a Team Leader, I got to know the residents inside out. I enjoyed both the rewarding moments and the more challenging days, and I truly valued the time spent with each resident.
Throughout my journey as a Team Leader, I was really supported by the management team and my colleagues, which made such a difference. I was in the role for three and a half years before a Head of Care position became available. Once again, I felt ready for a new challenge and knew I had pushed myself as far as I could in my current role.
I attended an interview in January 2026 and was thrilled to be offered the position. I am now really enjoying learning more about the role, getting to know residents on other floors, and taking on new challenges. I thrive on challenge, so this has been a really exciting step for me.
The Home Manager and Deputy Manager have been incredibly supportive, and my colleagues, other health professionals, and family members have also been so encouraging and happy for me.
I am really looking forward to this next chapter and seeing where it takes me.
