Managing the Heat at Our Dementia Care Home
With so much going on recently at Lovett Care and with the heatwave upon us, we have taken the time to prepare our dementia care home, making sure it’s regulated, cool, and relaxing to remain a comfortable environment for our residents…
It’s extremely important that care homes are managing the heat throughout summer, whilst also getting residents to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible – due to our fantastic carers, our care home is fit for summer, and residents are loving their time with us!
How We’ve Made Our Dementia Care Home Summer Ready
Since dementia is affecting many of our residents at our dementia care home in Stoke on Trent, this hot weather can make them feel tired, restless, and uncomfortable… However here at Lovett Care, you can feel at ease knowing your loved one has plenty of water to drink, cool air from regulated air conditioning, and lots of sun cream when relaxing outside.
Not only has our dementia care home got everything to ensure the safety of our residents, we’ve also put together a range of light activities for them to enjoy and stimulate memories from their past – we want everyone to feel at home in their environment, and this is exactly what they will get with us!
Along with the fantastic summer activities, we’ve thought about everything and even stocked up on healthy, nutritious food such as fruit (and of course a little ice cream) … We love helping our residents experience everything the summer has to offer, and our recent visit from the ice-cream van went down a treat!
