COVID-19 visiting protocols from 01 April 2022

We are pleased to bring you further clarification on the Government announcement about its next steps on ‘Living With Covid-19’

  • Visitors to all Lovett Care homes will no longer need to take an LFD test before visiting but must continue to wear a face mask provided by the home. You will no longer be asked to book a visit to the home. This means that you can now visit as you did before the pandemic.
  • Lovett Care team members will continue to test twice a week, and this will be the same for visiting relatives or friends who will be providing personal care.
  • Residents will be tested if they display symptoms of Covid-19 but will otherwise not be regularly tested. Where there is a local outbreak, our homes will permit only one visitor in the home. Whilst this can change visitors must take an LFD test and wear PPE.
  • We are delighted to let you know that you can now use the communal areas in our homes without restrictions. This also means that our residents will have more freedom to visit out of the home, and will no longer need to isolate or test on their return from a high-risk area.
  • Should a resident test positive they will still need to isolate for 10 days unless they test negative for 2 consecutive days after 5 days of isolation.
  • If an outbreak occurs the home will close to visiting for 10 days. Essential Care Givers will be given access to the home during an outbreak.
  • We will always let you know by letter, email or telephone if the home needs to close.
Residential Care Bod

Lovett Care will support all of our homes to return to a normal way of life whilst learning to live with Covid-19. We believe that the Covid-19 booster vaccination remains the best protection for our residents and team members. Therefore we will continue to encourage our residents and team members to take up the Covid-19 booster vaccine in order to keep everybody safe.
Your views are important to us, and we are committed to listening to you. Therefore we would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ for using to make very positive comments about the way our teams cared for your relatives during the pandemic, and we are happy for you continue doing this. We want to make sure that we are providing the best care to our residents and that we are keeping them safe.
Because we welcome your comments and feedback, we are working towards a residents and relatives satisfaction survey which will be available later this year. This will help us to capture your views and opinions about your experience with Lovett Care. We will keep you up to date about the satisfaction survey and anything else that is happening via regular emails and our homes social media pages.
If you do have any questions, queries or concerns, or would like to make an enquiry about Lovett Care homes please do not hesitate to speak with the homes General Manager We will do our best to respond to you as quickly as possible.
Finally, thank you all for being patient, understanding and working with us to help keep our residents safe and contented.
